These are great results because foreign invasion is a necessity for the Japanese game industry. 3 out of 4 games are from Nintendo. "Metal Gear" was the only non-Nintendo game voted in the list.

This chart is quite different from the top sellers in Japan. Compared to the Japanese top-selling game list, the Guiness list includes more violent games and family games which reflects what is preferred by overseas gamers. While "Dragon Quest" and "Final Fantasy" are rival games in Japan, "Dragon Quest" wasn't even listed in the top 50.
